When A Southern Enchantress reached readers about 14 months ago, I had no idea of the journey ahead. Every step, every event provided a rich learning curve. From conquering the fear of negative reviews to meeting readers face-to-face at book signings, I stepped into my new role as an author and embraced each experience. After nearly waiting a lifetime to publish a debut novel, I didn’t want to miss anything.
Acknowledging that books don’t sell by themselves helped motivate me, too! But I no longer fret about a novel’s release, for I’ve survived this pivotal year.
While I reflect upon my enchantress’s first year, I’m more excited than ever to complete the next novel in 2025. Anticipating the joy of sharing another magical story helps me manage the many hours I spend writing, editing, and revising one chapter after the next. Now, I’m super excited about what awaits.
